How much of a time commitment is volunteering here?
You can choose your own hours whether that is coming early in the morning before we open to help prepare food or volunteer during our open hours of 7 am – 2 pm doing various kitchen tasks. You can also choose to just volunteer for pop up events if we need veggie choppers or helping set up a catering order. Any time volunteering is gratefully appreciated!
Do I have to know my way around a kitchen or have experience in food service?
No! We have several volunteers and staff on hand that can help you with any questions you may have an we take the time to teach all of our volunteers specific tasks around the café!
Can I volunteer in a group?
Yes! We always appreciate any help we can get, so if your group is interested in doing some tasks in the café for the day, fill out the volunteer form and explain that it is a group effort or reach out to the Café Supervisor at 920-448-4303 to coordinate a day! Other opportunities are also available for the ADRC nutrition in packing home-delivered meals and meal driving which groups often volunteer for as well.
How old do you have to be to volunteer?
You have to be 18 and older to volunteer in the café. If you are under 18, you must have a mentor or guardian with you at all times and sign an underage form.
